COLONIAL CREEK
Well here is a map Keith found of the camp ground. I have trimmed off the upper and lower parts because they will be closed. All the lake front campsite are open. There is no water according to the web site, so we will need to bring some with us. There are quite a few camp sites in the area so if we don't like what we see we can just roll down to George lake or whatever... It will be glorious!!!(name the quote)
Here is a good link To the main Camping web page for the area:

Update: Here are some links with information about the Thunder Creek trail.

Camping!
Let's go camping!
We have all been talking about it, and I had begun floating the idea of the weekend of Apr 26-27, which seemed to get general agreement from everyone I talked to. At this point, that is a mere two weeks out, so maybe now is a good time to either finalize the date and get real commitments from those who are interested in going and can do that weekend, or discuss and decide on a better date further out. If not that weekend, that is OK by me, but then lets hash out when we want to go. I was assuming we still want to go to Lake Diablo, so another round of ensuring what we need to do (if anything) to reserve a spot, and which campground specifically we are going to try for, etc might also be appropriate.
So this is a boys-only event, but as far as I am concerned does not strictly have to be, but what does the group say? Either way, we should also think about another big family camping trip this summer, but that is a ways off so we have time there.
What say you?
